Glenn C. Terry, M.D.

 

    Glenn C. Terry, MD, graduated from Southern Methodist University and earned his medical degree at Southwestern Medical School. After completing his orthopaedic residency at Bexar County Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, he entered private practice in Logan, Utah, and became board certified in Orthopaedics in 1976.  In 1981, he participated in a sports medicine fellowship at The Hughston Clinic under the direct supervision of Dr. Jack Hughston. The following year, Dr. Terry obtained additional training at Boston University, the University of Linkoping in Sweden, the University of Amsterdam in Holland, Bruderholtz Hospital in Switzerland, as well as Bern, Switzerland.

     Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he holds memberships in many professional societies including the American Medical Association, ISAKOS (International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine), and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Olympic Sports Medicine Society, The American Laser Society, and The American Orthopaedic Association.

     Dr. Terry has been an active volunteer with the United States Olympic Committee. He served as a physician member of the United States team at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games and has trained as a crew chief for the United States Olympic Committee drug control program. He was a member of the committee planning the medical coverage as well as a volunteer physician and the Athlete Care Coordinator for the track and field venue at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. In addition, Dr. Terry was honored as the Sports Medicine Person of the Year by the NATA for 1998. Recently, he has served as the medical director for the Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens, while also providing sports medicine coverage to numerous local athletic teams at both the professional and high school levels.

    Dr. Terry resides in Columbus with his wife and two of his four children.  His specialties include Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy, Laser Surgery, Joint Replacement, and Treatment of Complex Knee and Shoulder Problems.
