Doing the actual research — discovering new compounds, devices, techniques and medical insights — is only part of a Hughston scientist’s job. Only by sharing what’s been learned from the research with other orthopaedists and the broader medical and athletic community can the benefits be realized to help people in the real world.
From the very beginning, the Hughston Foundation has focused on sharing the advances we’ve made in improving the health, fitness and overall well being of our patients.
Service staff members work with professionals on and off the Hughston campus to provide new and better ways to present information through imagery, medical writing and videography. Hughston Research and Education also houses and supports the editorial office of the Hughston Health Alert and the Journal of Athletic Training, the official journal of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
