SUMMARY:2026 Scrubs Camp
DESCRIPTION:Are you high school or college student or know a student interested in learning more about the medical field? \nThe Hughston Foundation\, Three Rivers AHEC\, Columbus Technical College\, Columbus State University Nursing and Health Science\, Mercer University School of Medicine\, and Valley Healthcare System are holding the ninth annual Scrubs Camp this summer. Due to the overwhelming response to previous camps\, this year we are offering it twice in June (June 8th – 12th) and July (July 13th – 17th) of 2026. The five-day camps are open to rising high-school freshmen through college sophomores who are interested in the medical field\, and especially for those who are interested in the fields that specialize in sports medicine. 48 seats are available for each camp and the ONLY transportation being provided will be between CSU Nursing and Health Science campus (downtown) and Mercer University School of Medicine at midday. All other transportation to/from the camp locations will NOT be provided.\n \nAll students receive their own scrub top; which many wear to camp each day. In addition to tours of multiple facilities\, there are many hands-on experiences related to the different medical fields. This is terrific forum for students to experience what medical illustration\, a surgical nurse and a surgical technologist\, a medical resident\, a physician assistant\, a physical therapist\, and someone from the radiology departments can offer.
