Patient Testimonial 2016-03-09Today was a great experience with Dr. Downs and his nursing staff. I have overall had less than great visits here in the past. For examples, nurses have been quick to share their opinions about my progress and attempt to answer questions that I have clearly expressed to be answered by the MD. I have been told by staff here that I am “looking good in physical therapy next door” and I do not attend physical therapy at this facility, making seeing me impossible. I have called in and spoke to nurses with concerning questions directly after my surgery and been told I am complaining of emergency conditions and need to admit myself to the emergency department and not allow me to talk to the MD, when infact I simply needed to add benedryl to take with my pain medication. I am very pleased with my actual surgery and Dr. Downs approach to resolving my overall knee issues, however I do continue to have concerns with the general “bed side manner” is between me and a few of the nurses that work here.
