Anthony A. Romeo, MD, Presidential Guest Speaker at Hughston Society
Columbus, Georgia – April 24, 2017- The Hughston Society was honored to have Presidential Guest Speaker, Dr. Anthony Romeo, present several talks at the Biennial Hughston Society Meeting April 20-22. For the Shoulder program, Dr. Romeo presented, “Treatment of Anterior Instability with Bone Loss” and “Management of Glenohumeral Arthritis in Young Active Patients.” Champ L. Baker, Jr., MD, served as moderator and other panelist in the session included, Darren E. Barton, DO, and Timothy L. Uhl, PhD, PT, ATC, FNATA. Dr. Romeo’s third presentation, “Practice Management” was the last talk of the Society meeting. This talk covered not only how physicians and healthcare professionals can manage their practice effectively, but also how to successfully balance work, patients, and their personal life.
Dr. Romeo is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon with over 20 years experience working in academic medicine. In addition to his role as professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at Rush University in Chicago, IL, he serves as program director of the Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship, and section head of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery in the Division of Sports Medicine at Rush. Dr. Romeo also serves as co-team physician for the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls.
